BBC Backstage Bash
I went along to the BBC Backstage Christmas party last night. I've posted some photos to Flickr. I'm a Graucho-Marxist curmudgeon who'd never belong to a club that would have me as a member, but I can honestly say thanks to Ian Forrester and his colleagues at Backstage, the sponsors, helpers, and the tireless staff at the Cuban it was a great night.
It was good to catch up with some old friends, have some interesting chats about technology, art, "new" media, and the future of television, and just enjoy the vibe. Oh, and Trusted Places, one of the sponsors, and providers of the biggest cake (it even defeated Adam!), had cool t-shirts.

Your right the venue and staff were spot on! I thanked them again this morning and they enjoyed the night and the free tshirts.
Remind me never to get a cake which can feed 400+ people! Trustedplaces did well from this event
